Rev. Kevin L. White, Sr, MDiv
Rev Kevin L. White, Sr is an ordained Baptist minister currently serving as Pastor of First Calvary Baptist Church. Pastor White was called to the pastorate at First Calvary on November 6, 2022, and was formally installed as pastor on January 8, 2023.
Pastor White accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior while attending Ninth Street Tabernacle Ministries in Paducah, Kentucky in September 1995, under the pastorate of the late Rev. James A. Turner, Jr. Pastor White was ordained as a deacon in January 1997 and accepted the call to preach the Gospel in October 2000. Pastor White was initially licensed as a minister in January 2001.
Pastor White previously served as an Associate Minister at Foster Chapel Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee, from July 2002 through November 2022. Pastor White was ordained in September 2004, by the late Rev. R. N. McGhee. He served in various ministries at Foster Chapel under the pastorates of Rev McGhee (2002-2005) and Pastor Joseph Tolbert (2005-2022).
Pastor White earned his Master of Divinity degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in May 2025.
Pastor White is married to Maria Wilson-White. He has three adult children, Kevin Jr., Alissa (Montavius) White Akins, and Matthew (Jae); one granddaughter, Marley; and one grandson, Amari.
Pastor White is called by God to preach the gospel and to be a change agent in the lives of believers so that they can realize their God-given potential as Spirit-led disciples of Christ.
